Transformers NY

This is a remake of the 2007 movie Transformers with Optimus Prime’s prologue. The most notable change in this remake are the colors. The original movie consisted more with greens and blues, while I introduced more warmth. It was also nearly imposslbe to get the lighting to look like it was in the movie without an incredible amount of cheating, but that’s Hollywood for ya, The Allspark trench is actually a part of a massive cube that I designed. I started out with a huge cube with beveled edges and then removed the side panels and replaced them with terrain models, then I just guided the camera around them. The Transformer’s logo was created using the Transformers font I found (google it, easy). But I used Cinema 4D to subdivide the title with enough pieces so that when I used the Explosion FX object with a huge strength, and animated it making it appear as if the title was “transforming” or building itself, it was a pretty simple technique and I hope it works.
